Nourish to Flourish.

by yours truly, wei shan.

Hey guys! I'm here to share on my first experience with @dahmakan!

So as some of you may already know, I'm a full time student and a part time dancer! So it could be really hard sometimes for me to plan my meal or decide what to eat with a busy schedule especially on days where I have school in the morning/afternoon and dance at night 😫 I always choose to stay back in my university and eat out during those days, and this would really give me a big dilemma on what to eat as the options around my campus are not cheap and are slightly on the unhealthy side 🤭 plus it is really time consuming for me to walk out of campus, choose a restaurant, order, wait for my food, eat and walk back to campus (when I could be studying or doing my assignments in the library) 😖

I recently tried dahmakan for the first time and it helped me save my time, satisfied my tummy and lessened my stress on deciding where to eat! If you guys didn't know, dahmakan is a food delivery service that delivers a variety of delicious food prepared by their 5-star chefs right to your doorstep! They even came up with their new low carbs and high protein meals! 🤤 So for the health cautious people, dahmakan is the delivery service for you! 🤤 you can also order your meals in advance so you wouldn't need to worry about what to eat on the next day (well this is what I did heh)! 😱

The meal that I ordered was the Herb Crusted Salmon Fillet with lemon cream sauce and mash potato! 🤤 as a salmon and potato lover, this was the perfect meal combination for my dinner! The mash potatoes gave me the energy to dance heh! It was a well-balanced meal! Besides that, their portion of food was super generous, there was a fair amount of sides as well as mains. The salmon was super "thicc"(unlike some restaurants where they only give super "thin" pieces of salmons 😤). And also, I'm super impressed that my meal was delivered straight to my university hot! This shows that their food was prepared not long before delivery! Overall, my ratings for the meal is a 8 out of 10! The 2 points went to the insufficient serving of the lemon cream sauce as it was too good that I finished it halfway through my meal 🤭

Overall, I would definitely use dahmakan again as it is super delicious, convenient and efficient! Also there is a wide variety of choices for me to choose from and also there are many promotion on the app! 🤑 and also, do apply my promo code: BETASTYF7421 to get 50% off your first purchase! That is up to RM20 off! So i highly recommend you all to try dahmakan for yourself! Great food, great service and great deals!! What are you waiting for? 😜

Hello guys!

This is my first time doing any sort of facial or treatments, so i went into this expecting nothing but the overall experience as well as pain and results. I was quite interested in trying out facials and laser treatment for quite some time as my skin condition has been the worst with my cheeks swarming with acnes and acne scars. 😭 I tried all sorts of acne products and home remedies, still there wasn't a drastic improvement on my acnes. Thus, resulting me in opting for laser treatments. Here is the condition of my face for the past few months 🤐 The condition of my face got so bad as I was studying so hard and stressing over my finals and studies 🤕 *inserts photos of my face at its worst condition  👇🏻*

After doing some research, I chose One Doc Medical. I first heard of One Doc Medical from my friends, and later from influencers and from the people I follow on instagram. I messaged their instagram account at @onedocmedical to inquire about their on-going RM199 promotion for their Signature Medical Facial 4 steps treatment. They immediately contacted me through Whatsapp asking about my concerns, my preferred One Doc branch and other information. I then booked an appointment with them.

I chose to go to the Taipan Subang outlet as it was nearest to my home. They first asked me to fill a form up about my personal information. During consultation, the aesthetician advised me that the Signature Medical Facial did not suit my skin condition. However, I was suggested to do the pro-laser treatment which includes of 4 steps as well - extraction, pro-laser treatment, Signature Nano OxyFacial and masking. I was suggested this treatment as my acne scars are caused by internal factors such as stress and hormones, rather than external factors such as bacteria or usage of wrong products. The treatment took around 2 hours, including consultation.

For pricing wise, this treatment is originally priced at RM800 per treatment, but its RM499 for first trials. There were packages for this pro-laser treatment as best results are to be seen after 3 to 4 treatments. The package suggested to me was the RM1,888 package inclusive of 4 pro-laser treatments.

My first experience was rather relaxing and painless (besides extraction 😭). They first double cleansed my face, then brought me to the consultion room for consultation, explaining the procedures and pricing for the treatment I'll be receiving. Soon after, they started the extraction of my pimples and blackheads, which was super pain (note that my pain tolerance is really low). Then they started with the laser, where they went through my whole face twice. The laser treatment was painless, but there was a slight warm heat of the lasers. They showed me the condition of my face after the laser to show me the difference of my left (lasered) and right (not yet lasered) face. Later on, it continued with their Signature Nano OxyFacial where they used an airbrush-like tool to rejuvenate my dry skin 🤭. It gave off a cooling sensation which was quite ticklish but enjoyable for me 😹 Lastly, they applied a sheet mask for me to hydrate my face and allowed me to relax for around 30 minutes (I'm not sure how long this took but it felt like 30 minutes to me haha!)

After the facial treatment, I was brought into the consultation room again for further explanation on the pricing and packages. The aesthetician also explained and showed me where the results had shown on my face. After asking my concerned questions, I made payment and booked my next appointment 🤩. Then I was given some cream and their sample sized cleanser, toner, moisturiser and sunblock.

After the first treatment, there wasn't a significant results of a clear skin (of course), but I noticed that the redness of my face has decreased and that my face felt clean. Overall, my face just felts clean and soft! Here is how my face looks like after the treatment! 👇🏻

right view after 24 hours of treatment

Experience wise, One Doc Medical definitely took care of me well with their good service! Besides the decreased in redness and cleaned face, my acne scars are still there. I understand that this laser treatment would not show results overnight, therefore I will be continuing updating on my skin condition after a few more trips to One Doc to do similar laser treatments. 😙 stay tune!

Hi guys! So I have been dancing since 9 years old when I picked dancing as my primary school's extra-curriculum. I loved every moment and experience just performing and dancing on stage. So the journey continues and grows until the dancer I am today. 🤩

I've started dancing in primary school where I performed on stage with my classmates and schoolmates. When I was younger, I dance to perform as I was always a very out-going kid. Here are some (not so) embarrassing pictures of me in primary school smh 🤣  ps: i didn't have much pictures of me performing as a kid sooooo

Okay, then I went to high school and started learning dance from my beloved teacher, Sim Li, in Dance World Taipan with a few of my friends from high school. It was kinda spontaneous of me joining, maybe due to peer pressure at that time who knows? 🤷🏻‍♂️ I was there for around 4 to 5 years. I definitely learnt a lot there. I learnt how to choreograph, perform, compete and dance for examinations.

I remember we used to have an annual dinner performance where we perform. Well, at that time I don't even know how to apply simple makeup and do my hair as a performer 🤣 I used to rely so much on my teacher for makeup and hair hahaa!

Besides performing, I also competed in NATD competitions. In 2014, I only went to compete as a group (because I have zero confidence in doing solo) and got 1st place 🤩 That marks my first time competing in the dance scene, gained many experience and confidence afterwards 😎

Afterwards I stopped attending dance classes as I had to sit for my SPM (I was really sad thooo). But soon after SPM, I went back to attending classes and joined my second dance competition, this time in the solo and group category! And I got 1st place for both categories! 🤩

Besides performing and competing, I also went for dance exams held by NATD and am currently at National Award 3 level. With this achievement, I left Dance World in order to explore and gain new experiences in the dance scene! I was quite satisfied with the achievements I have gotten and felt that I maximised my knowledge and experience in Dance World, thus resulting in me leaving Dance World and exploring other dance studios. 😋

Meanwhile, I was also performing for different events for my friends, relatives as a group and as an individual. For group dances, I used to perform K-Pop dances (whaat ikrr 😹) like BTS, IOI, BlackPink etc, with my high school friends. *inserts some really swag dancing pictures 👇🏻*

 performed for my uncle's event

performed for BAC's prom night

performed for my high school's Hari Kemerdekaan

So moving on to after I left Dance World, I went to Mustang Dance Academy MDA (well I joined when it was still Mustang Dance Studio omg). What made me join MDA at that time was because of the idea of them recording and posting videos on their own YouTube channel, which I thought at the moment if I were to be in the videos, I could gain exposure and include it in my portfolio as well (just in case I want to do a dance related job). I did my research and registered myself for classes. It started with me going to only girl style and hip hop classes as I was not aware of the different styles in the dance scene, but slowly, I adventured other styles like street jazz, urban choreography, house etc. Here are just some of videos I was included for MDA's class video shoot 🤑 - Attention, Shady Wit Me, Lights On, Feel Something, Either Way, Pay Me, With You (0:53), Do You?, etc.

Afterwards, I also joined a girl dancing group under Mustang created by Sue Yin (my girl style teacher) called AASY, which stands for anak-anak Sue Yin 🤣

Not long afterwards, I joined my first ever group dance showcase held by Next Ground Malaysia in 2018, with Skr Skr! 🤙🏻

Other than the groups I've joined, I was also given many opportunities to earn some money and gain more dancing experience out of the studio. I taught, choreographed and lead some dance classes throughout 2018. This gave me an insight on how dancers earn a living, be it as part time or full time. For me, it isn't that simple keeping up with this lifestyle due to the constant rehearsals and struggles remembering the steps for the performance, thus I still choose to do this as a part time thing whenever I'm available and free 😋

first performance show with Pink Fong and Astro

first flashmob show with Mustang for Kurnia and AmBank

first ever commercial show out of the state (Melacca)

flash mob show

flash mob performance for Sunway College

flash mob show with AASY

AASY's first performance for RT17G

first ever advertisement shooting for IsoPlus Indonesia

and many more!!

Overall, I am truly blessed for the experiences and knowledge I gained throughout my 10 years (plus minus) of dancing. I love dancing so much and would never stop expressing myself through dance 🤑 never did I expect that I would be able to come this far in dance, but I am so blessed to have met many amazing dancers along my dance journey, and the people who gave me the opportunity to perform and do dance shows. 💓 also, do show some love on my dance account on instagram where I post experiences and videos of my dance journey --> instagram.com/weixshann !

Hello everyone!

I always wanted to write, particularly to blog, but always had no context or motivation to start with. Since its 2019 ((I know it sounds cliché)), its time that I actually stepped out of my comfort zone and try to do something that I've always wanted to do. Fun fact #1, I actually had a blog when I was younger, blogging about my primary school life and whatever teenage crisis I faced back in the days! 🤣

So let me introduce myself! My name is wei shan and I am currently studying Bsc (Hons) Business Studies in Sunway University. I'm a full time student and part time dancer. I will be turning 20 on the 10th of March (goodbye teenage years 😿). I emphasize a lot on self-love, self-care and on the relationships with my friends, family and loved ones. 💓 I'm all about lifestyle, food, beauty, fashion and others.

So I guess that was a brief introduction about me. Thank you for reading!
